Deep within the enchanting rolling hills, dwelt a shepherd boy. His existence was unadulterated, simple yet virtuous. His only responsibility was essentially to look after his flock of ewes.

The boy giggled at the dilemma on their faces. This game laughed for a couple of more days. However, one day, a real wolf did charge at the herd. The shepherd boy ran for help, screaming “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one came.
Frustrated and alone, the boy battled against the wolf but managed to protect only few of his flock. Heartbroken, he returned to the town only to be met with a lesson on honesty and the repercussions of crying wolf.
His tale of this shepherd boy has been handed down generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the significance of honesty, the consequences of lying and the perils of crying wolf. Moreover, it highlights how trust once violated, is difficult to reclaim. It's a story as pertinent today as it was anciently.
